photo of SarahHaving cut her teeth on the usual selection of Gilbert and Sullivan productions and musical classics from My Fair Lady to The Barber of Seville, Sarah combined her passion for music, mime and movement to create a unique theatrical style. Her focus is on adapting film techniques for the stage and using simple and effective old fashioned theatrical tricks to create magic, using scoring and sometimes choreography to breathe life into plays.


Theatre


image of lady bending over backwardsHer theatre productions include a sellout commedia version of Moliere's 'Hypochondriac', a punk version of Bulgakov's 'Moliere' and a bicontinental production of 'Blood' by Fringe First winner Michael Phillip Edwards. She has also been responsible for several children's puppet and theatre shows including 'Asterix' at the Barbican. She produced a series of plays which turned into award-winning short films, and has numerous music and design credits in comedy and music..


Film


Her film credits include 'Whacked!' (Sky Movies Max; two NYIFF awards), and You Gotta Believe (in UK and US cinemas October '09).

She is currently working on 'Crabbit! - the Musical' based on the well-known 'Michelle' series of children's books by Julie Hegarty, which will premiere in August '09 at the Gilded Balloon.


She is also working on 'White Horses' by Diane Weipert, a feature film set in Donegal, to commence production early next year
